Joint replacement

Joint replacement is surgery which is performed when a joint (ex: knee, hip joint, etc>) is severely damaged because of disease or injury and cannot be repaired with drugs or physical therapy. This surgical treatment mitigates pain and makes joint motion smooth by replacing a joint with an artificial one made of superalloy and polymer materials.

Indications

  • Moderate level or above of degenerative arthritis
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Bow legs or knock-knees
  • Arthritis which occurs after trauma
  • Intra-articular fracture along with pathologic fracture, etc.
